Morzine is an all year round resort which retains the picturesque charm and culture of its farming background with weekly demonstrations
of the local traditions of cheese making and slate mining. A village of contrasts, in summer the atmosphere is laid back, the perfect place
to relax or take part in the many activities on offer and in winter it is a bustling with skiers and boarders.
Morzine is one of the 12 villages that make up the linked ski area of the Portes du Soleil area with over 650 km of piste with a host
of easy blue runs for beginners, encouraging reds for intermediates and challenging blacks and off piste of more advanced skiers and snowboarders.
The resort is well served by an array of local shopping, bars and restaurants with menus to suit every taste and budget from local Savoyarde
menus to gastronomic delights. The main area by the Pleney piste has the Buddha Café, with its cosy Indian décor; the Crepescule
for jumping après ski and the English run Cavern bar as well as our favorite meeting point, the Irish Coffee bar with its typical French atmoshere.
For large screen sporting events the Dixie Bar shows premiership football and has a large pool room in the basement.
Two night clubs will keep you dancing till dawn or visit the two cinemas which show English films on a regular basis.
The Olympic sized rink is also open for ice skating on a daily basis or join us in supporting the local ice hockey team at their twice weekly matches
